There are many high-profile dribblers in the English Premier League (EPL). However, the first one to make more than 100 dribbling attempts in the competition so far this season is an Everton star as per Stathead. Who is this iconic dribbler and how did he do it?
This take-on king is Iliman Ndiaye of Everton. The Senegalese winger has made 108 dribbling attempts in the EPL so far this term. Curiously, he started on a low key with just one try on match day 1 of the 2024/25 season. The former Marseille forward attempted 5 more dribbles on the second game week of the season. Interestingly, he has not failed to attempt at least one take-on on the Premiership so far.

Meanwhile, his highest tally single game in the English topflight is 11. This figure has already been attained twice this season. He did it against Newcastle and West Ham on match days 7 and 11 respectively. Coincidentally, both games ended in draws.
A further look at his dribbling record shows that the Senegal international has a 45% success rate in using the skill. However, he has only succeeded in creating 5 shots from his take-ons. Interestingly, two of these came in the December 29 encounter with Nottingham Forest. It is worthy of note that only one player has made more take-on attempts in the Big 5 European leagues within the period. This is Lamine Yamal of Barcelona. The Spaniard has 120 tries to his name. In the EPL, the player that comes closest to Ndiaye is Mohammed Kudus. This Ghana international has tried the skill 95 times in the competition this term.
