Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, shared a testimony during the Holy Ghost Service, recounting how a distressing situation was turned around through faith in God.
He recalled a moment when one of his daughters approached him in despair, saying, "Daddy, I can't fight anymore. I've been fully defeated. I did everything I could to keep my husband, but a strange woman has come and taken away my husband." The woman explained that her husband had left her and their four children to live with this other woman.
Pastor Adeboye offered words of reassurance, saying, "Well, we will cry to God. Your husband will come and beg you." He went on to decree that a quarrel would arise between the husband and the strange woman, one that nobody could settle.
Not long after, the situation unfolded as prophesied. The strange woman criticized the man for leaving his wife and children to live with a woman whose children were not his. The man, realizing the gravity of his mistake, packed his belongings, returned home, and prostrated before his wife, asking for forgiveness.
Pastor Adeboye encouraged the congregation, emphasizing that what seemed like defeat could ultimately lead to triumph.
He referenced Psalm 30:5, which says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning," and reminded believers of the power of persistent faith.
He urged everyone to ask God for their desires, assuring them that their joy would be complete.
