Instead, he described his actions as motivated by admiration and a dream of connecting with Burna Boy.

The man, whose video has gone viral, explained the backstory: during Burna Boy's performance, he ran onto the stage but was promptly kicked by the artist.

Speaking about the incident, the fan revealed his two reasons for storming the stage.

First, he wanted to express his admiration for Burna Boy as a devoted fan by embracing him.

Secondly, he hoped to use the moment to get noticed by the Grammy-winning singer, as he is also an aspiring musician and wanted a chance to perform at the show.

He admitted feeling deeply embarrassed by the incident but expressed understanding for Burna Boy's reaction, acknowledging that the singer might have acted out of caution.

In his words: "I see my videos flying around about what happened between me and Burna Boy on stage. I didn't mean to harm him; I just wanted to, you know, as a fan, embrace him. I didn't know it would turn out that way."

"For those saying I wanted to harm him, that's not true. I'm also a musician, and I just wanted to use the opportunity to ask for a chance to perform on his stage that day."

"I've been attending Burna Boy's shows for a very long time. I'm one of his biggest fans, so that's what happened. I feel so embarrassed, but I don't blame him because only he knows what was on his mind at that moment."
