EPL: 'His legs are gone' - Mikel Obi advises Amorim to get rid of Man Utd midfielder

Former Nigeria midfielder John Mikel Obi has advised Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim to offload Casemiro.

Mikel Obi, speaking on his podcast, claimed the Brazilian midfielder is already past his prime.

Casemiro signed for United from Real Madrid in 2022 in a deal worth €70.65 million.

After an impressive first season in which he registered seven goals and six assists in 51 appearances, Casemiro has fallen off badly.

Amorim has also preferred Manuel Ugarte to the 32-year-old.

"In the Premier League, you will get found out. The Premier League is the most difficult league, fast-paced and dynamic. It will throw everything at you," Mikel said on the Obi One podcast.

"So if you're not young enough, you're not quick enough, you're not mobile enough, you're not energetic enough to cope with the Premier League, you're going to get found out. And that's what keeps happening to Casemiro.

"If he comes in and has one good game, it doesn't mean that he's changed; he's still the same player.

"I love the guy; he's played for Real Madrid; he's won everything in his career. But his legs are gone. Manchester United need to get another midfielder."
