According to football London, Barcelona forward Dani Olmo has decided against a January move to Manchester United or any Premier League club despite facing registration issues with the La Liga side. According to his agent, Olmo remains committed to fulfilling his ambitions at Barcelona.
Manchester United, currently enduring a difficult 2024-25 season in 14th place in the Premier League, had hoped to bolster their squad in the January transfer window. With finances constrained, United saw Olmo's situation as a potential opportunity, especially as he could have become a free agent on January 1 due to unresolved registration issues.
Olmo has performed well this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in 15 appearances for Barcelona. However, his agent, Andy Bara, told GIVEMESPORT that the Spanish international is determined to stay at the club. "Dani has decided to stay at Barcelona. He is not considering any other club, and his desire to play for Barca is clear," Bara stated.
Despite Barcelona losing their second appeal to register Olmo for the remainder of the season, the authorities have granted the club an additional three days to resolve the issue. Olmo's stance remains firm, disappointing Manchester United, who had hoped to secure the talented playmaker.
