Newcastle United cruised to their fourth-consecutive Premier League clean sheet, beating Manchester United 2-0 at Old Trafford thanks to a pair of goals within the first 20 minutes of the game.
Looking up for the occasion right from kick-off, Isak put his side ahead within four minutes, after nodding home a close-range finish from Hall's cross, and the visitors would make it two 15 minutes later in similar circumstances, with Gordon providing Joelinton with the chance to score.
The hosts offered precious little in the way of attack or resistance in the opening 45 minutes but performed slightly better after the restart and the introduction of Garnacho, with Maguire striking the base of the post and Yoro missing the target from eight yards out - both from headers.
Howe's team seemed confident in their ability to see out the result and didn't venture forward that much in the second half, looking instead to keep things tight and organised.
Even still, the Magpies outproduced their opponents in xG 1.96 to 0.87 and were fully deserving of the three points.
The win takes Newcastle United into fifth place ahead of a meeting with Tottenham on January 4, while Manchester United stay in 14th and play Liverpool on January 5.
