The missing NGO millions saga continues to unfold, shrouded in speculation and mistrust, with both VDM and law enforcement facing mounting pressure to provide answers.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has distanced itself from the swirling controversy surrounding the alleged disappearance of ₦160 million from the account of a Non-Governmental Organisation owned by popular social media commentator Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan.
The case, which has captured public attention and ignited heated debates, took another twist as law enforcement made it clear they are neither aware of nor investigating the matter.
In a dramatic Instagram video posted on Friday, Otse alleged that a staggering ₦160 million had been transferred from the NGO's account to an unknown beneficiary. He further claimed to have recovered ₦20 million after freezing the siphoning account using a Post No Debit (PND) order.
While his saga drew immediate sympathy from some followers, it also unleashed a wave of scepticism, with critics questioning the authenticity of his narrative and the timing of his revelations.
The plot thickened on Saturday when Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, clarified that the police had no involvement in the matter, said the command was neither aware of nor investigating the case.
