1. Ignoring the Host.
Ignoring the host is both rude and ungrateful. Always greet the host when you arrive, thank them for the invitation and show appreciation before you leave.
2. Bringing Uninvited Guests
Showing up with uninvited guests puts the host in an awkward position. It can disrupt their mood if it's someone they secretly dislike, stretch the food and drinks and make the space crowded.

3. Talk About Politics or Religion
Parties are meant to be lighthearted and heavy subjects like politics or religion can spark arguments and create tension. Both topics are too personal and inappropriate for an easy conversation.

4. Leave a Washroom Messy
It's disrespectful to both the host and other guests. Once you've done your business, always flush, wipe down any spills and ensure the space looks clean before you leave.

5. Drink Too Much
While enjoying a drink or two is perfectly fine, overindulging can lead to embarrassing or inappropriate behaviour that no one wants to see at a lighthearted party. Know your capacity.

6. Overstay Your Welcome
Once you cross 30, late-night parties become more painful than joyful. So, take cues when the party is winding down. Lingering too long puts unnecessary pressure on the host.

7. Waste or Criticise Food Served
The host has made an effort to provide food so wasting it or criticising what's served is both inconsiderate and rude. If you don't like something, avoid eating it. Compliment the efforts and leave.
