EPL: Maresca reacts as Mudryk travels to watch Usyk vs Fury boxing clash

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said Mykhailo Mudryk needs to "disconnect" from football, as he wait for the outcome of a Football Association, FA, investigation into a failed drugs test.

Mudryk has been provisionally suspended after returning a positive "A" sample in October.

The 23-year-old says he is "shocked" by the news and "has never knowingly used any banned substances".

Mudryk is facing a very long ban if found guilty by the FA.

The Ukraine winger was however spotted ringside as his compatriot Oleksandr Usyk fought Tyson Fury in boxing heavyweight title fight on Saturday.

When asked if Mudryk had been given time away, Maresca said:

"In this moment it's also good he can disconnect a little bit from the situation.

"The last time I spoke with him, we tried to support him but in this moment we are waiting."
