Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a dominant 6-3 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, moving four points clear and with a game in hand.
From the onset, Arne Slot's side were in control.
The opening goal came midway through the first half when Trent Alexander-Arnold delivered a pinpoint cross from the right, finding Luis Diaz in space.
The Colombian made no mistake, heading past goalkeeper Fraser Forster to give Liverpool the lead.
Just before the break, Liverpool doubled their advantage. A dangerous cross from Andy Robertson caused confusion among Tottenham defenders, with Archie Gray and Djed Spence colliding with Dominik Szoboszlai.
Alexis Mac Allister reacted quickest to poke home the loose ball.
Tottenham responded before half-time, with James Maddison capitalizing on a loose pass from Mac Allister.
Maddison seized the opportunity, striking past Alisson from outside the box. Although Mac Allister contested the challenge, referee and VAR waved off his claims for a foul.
The Reds quickly restored their two-goal cushion just before the interval. Alexander-Arnold launched a long ball downfield that found Szoboszlai, whose header allowed Mohamed Salah to race through and return the ball for Szoboszlai to finish neatly under Forster.
In the second half, Liverpool remained relentless. Szoboszlai set up Salah for a tap-in, and shortly after, Salah's precise pass found the net again for their fifth.
Tottenham fought back with Dominic Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski linking up for a brilliant goal. Solanke then scored again, cutting the deficit to 5-3.
However, Liverpool sealed the win when Salah assisted Diaz for his second, completing a thrilling nine-goal spectacle in North London.
