The Dangote Refinery has announced that its premium motor spirit, petrol, will be sold at N935 per litre through MRS retail outlets nationwide.
The company disclosed this in a statement released to commend President Bola Tinubu for facilitating the crude-for-naira sell deal.
According to Dangote Refinery, the move is aimed at providing succour to Nigerians.
With the development, Nigerians will now buy petrol at N935 per litre from Monday, 23 December 2024.
"To provide succour to Nigerians, Dangote recently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N970 to N899.50 at its refinery loading gantry and provided generous credit terms to marketers.
"To ensure that this price reduction gets to the end consumer, we have signed a partnership with MRS to sell petrol from its retail outlets nationwide at N935 per litre.
"This price has already commenced in Lagos, and it will be offered nationwide from Monday."
This comes as the President of Dangote Refinery, Aliko Dangote, urged the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets and marketers to ensure Nigerians have quality petrol.
"He called on other oil marketers, such as the NNPC Retail and all other marketers, "to work with us to ensure that Nigerians enjoy high-quality petrol at discounted prices", the statement reads.
Recall that Dangote Refinery reduced ex-depot petrol price to N899.50 per litre from N970.
