Carabao Cup: 3 teams qualify for semi-final

The first three Carabao Cup semi-finalists have been confirmed.

They are Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

The Gunners fought back from going down to an early goal from Jean-Phillipe Mateta to beat Crystal Palace 3-2 at the Emirates.

Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick before former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah found the back of the net late on.

Liverpool had to hold on for a nervy 2-1 victory at Southampton.

At St James Park, Newcastle thrashed Brentford 3-0 to book their spot in the last four.

Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday for the final place in the semi-finals.
