Nigerian football stars Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have secured spots in the CAF FIFPro Best XI following an impressive year of performances.
Osimhen spearheaded the attack in the star-studded lineup, which features a 3-4-3 formation.
Lookman, who enjoyed a standout season, joins Liverpool's Mohamed Salah to complete the formidable attacking trio alongside Osimhen.
Manchester United's Andre Onana was chosen as the top goalkeeper for the Best XI, edging out South Africa's Ronwen Williams, who had earlier been recognized as the continent's best goalkeeper.
Onana's consistency and performances throughout the season earned him this prestigious spot.
The defensive lineup features a mix of Africa's finest. Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi from Morocco, Senegalese powerhouse Kalidou Koulibaly, and DR Congo's Chancel Mbemba formed a strong defensive backbone.
In midfield, Ghana's Mohammed Kudus, who impressed for both club and country, leads the pack alongside Morocco's Sofyan Amrabat, Ivory Coast's Franck Kessie, and Mali's Yves Bissouma.
Their collective contributions over the year showed the dominance of African talent in key roles.
The CAF FIFPro Women's Best XI also celebrated Nigerian excellence, with four Super Falcons players making the prestigious squad.
Michelle Alozie, Osinachi Ohale, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Asisat Oshoala were named among the continent's top female footballers.
Notably, Paris FC goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie missed out on the Women's Best XI despite being crowned Africa's Best Goalkeeper earlier.
