Pastor Tobi Adegboyega of SPAC Nation has spoken about his calling and his reason for running his church in an unorthodox manner.
The pastor, who is said to be facing deportation from the UK for alleged fraud, appeared on Channels TV Politics Today on Monday evening, Dec. 16.
When asked how he received his calling to be a pastor, he explained that he grew up as a pastor's son and started preaching when he was 8.
He added that when he got to the UK in 2005, he noticed a lot of gang activities involving young Nigerians armed with knives in Peckham, so he decided to step in to get kids off the street and give their life purpose.
He added that a calling is about answering to the needs of a generation and that is what he has done since 2005 when he arrived in the UK.
When the host asked what he has to say about his church being run in an unorthodox manner, Adegboyega said it might be unorthodox but what matters is that it is effective. He pointed out that a lot of kids have been impacted by his leadership.
He went on to state that even the pentecostal church was considered unorthodox at the time it started.
