Tosin Adarabioyo celebrates Ademola Lookman winning CAF Award, teases reunion with Super Eagles of Nigeria

At the 2024 CAF Awards in Marrakech, Morocco, Ademola Lookman, a star for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, won the Africa Player of the Year title.

Lookman received the honor less than 33 months after earning his first international cap for Nigeria.

The 27-year-old committed to Nigeria after winning the FIFA U17 World Cup with England at a youth level.

He assisted in leading the Super Eagles to second place at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire earlier to start the year.

Additionally, he played a crucial role in Atalanta FC's UEFA Europa Cup victory the previous season with a hat-trick in the final.

Lookman has participated in 18 games across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and dishing out five assists for Atalanta.

Lookman went viral on social media as he stood out at the event in his Agbada to outshine other nominees.

There were several congratulatory messages for Lookman but one of them went viral.

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo was the key message to stand out congratulating Lookman on his achievement.

Adarabioyo wrote, "My brother! THE BEST player in Africa. Well deserved."

Lookman and Adarabioyo both played in the England youth setup before they reunited for a stint in the Premier League with Fulham.

There are reactions to the post by Adarabioyo with some suggesting he may soon switch his international allegiance.
