After the disastrous 2024/25 season under Ineos, it is crystal clear that Manchester United are in the middle of a project.
When Omar Berrada pinpointed 2028 as a possible Premier League-winning year, many thought he was being coy over the ambitions within Ineos.
However, three years from now looks realistic and possibly even an ambitious target for Manchester United to once again win the Premier League.
Ruben Amorim will have other ideas and will be keen to expedite this process, which is one silver lining of Ineos' ruthlessness in getting rid of Dan Ashworth.
Now, 2025 could see the club axe a chunk of the squad seen as not good enough, with only six names thought to be safe.
Just six players are safe from Ineos' overhaul
Clearly behind the scenes, Ineos are extremely unhappy with this season and the squad - with the latest reports from Florian Plettenberg proving this.
According to the German journalist, only six names are safe and considered unsellable in 2025 by Ineos.
He adds that there are likely two or three additional names who will find themselves to be considered unsellable - this perhaps relying on performances over the next few weeks and months.

Amad's inclusion is no shock as he looks like a key figure already. Mainoo has hardly gotten started under Amorim, yet he is always a player United would be planning to keep. Onana's strong 2024/25 form has likely left him in good standing.
Meanwhile, the Dan Ashworth signed trio of Yoro, Mazraoui and De Ligt are players the club has been impressed with thus far.
Notable exclusions from this list are players like Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund who were once among the prized possessions within the club, however for several reasons they would both be sold if a bid arrived.
Manchester United's unsellable list will expand under Ruben Amorim
While it may seem harsh, such a short list of players currently being unsellable is the brutal truth of where this United squad currently is.
However, the wishful thinking would be that after a few months under Amorim, players will have played their way into being an unsellable asset.
Manuel Ugarte is one we suggest will get there, having started life under Amorim very well.
However, there will also be youth players who step up and the likes of Garnacho which should see the list at least doubled by the time June rolls around.
Amorim has had so little time to work with his players that he probably does not even know yet. So we imagine this list will change a lot before any action is taken.
