Manchester United sent Unimpressive Jadon Sancho transfer message after Chelsea moment

According to report from The Mail, Jermain Defoe has praised Jadon Sancho's impressive display during Chelsea's thrilling 4-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, calling it the best performance from the winger since his return to England in 2021.

At just 24 years old, Sancho faced a challenging three-season stretch at Manchester United before making a shift to Chelsea on a loan deal in August. This move to Stamford Bridge will become permanent at the end of the current season, with United imposing an obligation to buy as part of the agreement.

During the intense match on Sunday, the former Manchester United player, who transferred from Borussia Dortmund for £71 million over three years ago, netted his second goal in consecutive Premier League appearances, playing a crucial role in Chelsea's comeback against Tottenham under the guidance of coach Enzo Maresca.

After finding the net against Southampton midweek, Sancho showcased his talent once again in North London, scoring with a precision low shot that left goalkeeper Fraser Forster with little chance.

Defoe, speaking on Monday Night Football, shared his thoughts on Sancho's performance, stating, "He was incredibly sharp on the pitch.

It felt like he had been holding back previously; too often, he'd receive the ball and pass it back instead of driving at defenders. But this was the real Jadon Sancho.

The finish he made may seem simple, but from that angle, it's anything but easy."

Chelsea's contract with Sancho stipulates they must purchase him if they finish in 14th place or higher in the Premier League this season, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
