Manchester City got back to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium, ending their recent poor run of form. This win marks a much-needed turnaround for City, who had been struggling in their previous games.
City's recent form had been a concern, with the team failing to meet their high standards. However, against Forest, they looked like their old selves, dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities.
Kevin De Bruyne was the star of the show, creating the first goal and scoring the second. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring in the 8th minute, tapping in a header from De Bruyne. De Bruyne then doubled City's lead with a precise strike from inside the 18-yard box in the 31st minute. Jeremy Doku sealed the win with a stunning curling effort in the 57th minute.
Historically, City have had the upper hand against Forest, winning their last three home meetings without conceding a goal. Their last encounter ended in a 6-0 thrashing of Forest in August 2022.
Looking ahead, City's next game is against Crystal Palace, while Forest faces a tough away trip to Chelsea. City will be looking to build on this momentum and continue their push for the top of the Premier League table.
