Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has taken to social media to express his gratitude to the fans after being linked with a move to Man City.
The central midfielder is highly regarded at St James' Park, and Eddie Howe's side are unlikely to entertain any offers despite interest from the current champions.
Guimaraes' contract at St James' Park is set to run until 2028 after he signed an extension last year and remains committed to the project under Howe.
Newcastle have fallen into the bottom half of the table after their shock 2-0 defeat to strugglers West Ham and their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday (November 30).
Bruno Guimaraes is 'very happy' at Newcastle ahead of their game with Liverpool
Guimaraes has been a key player for Newcastle so far this season, starting 13 of his 16 appearances across all competitions and providing one assist in 1303 minutes of gameplay.
The Brazil international looks set to add one more appearance on Wednesday (December 4) as Newcastle host league leaders Liverpool.
Proud of his time at the club, Guimaraes took to Instagram to send a message to fans, saying: "Very happy to be making my 100th appearance in the Premier League! Let's make a great atmosphere tonight and fight for the three points."
Newcastle may sit in 11th, but only three points separate them and Brighton in fourth as Howe's side aim to return to the Champions League.
Howe's side have a relatively tricky run of fixtures throughout the festive period, including games against Aston Villa and Man United.
