Former Götzepe coach, Yilmaz Vural, has shared his thoughts on Galatasaray's potential signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, according to Soccernet. While Vural acknowledges Osimhen's impressive skills, he believes that the transfer fee involved is too high for Galatasaray.
Speaking on the Telegol program via Haber Sari Kirmizi, Vural stated that Osimhen is a "magnificent footballer" with impressive technical and physical characteristics. However, he emphasized that the potential transfer fee of €75 million is "really too much" for Galatasaray to pay.
Vural suggested that instead of spending large sums on established players like Osimhen, Galatasaray should focus on signing talented strikers from lower Turkish clubs. He cited examples of players like Barış Alper Yılmaz and Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who have made a significant impact in the Turkish Süper Lig despite being signed from lower leagues.
Osimhen has been in impressive form for Galatasaray since joining the club on loan from Napoli in September. He has scored eight goals in his first ten games for the club, and his performances have sparked speculation about a potential permanent transfer.
However, Vural's comments suggest that Galatasaray should exercise caution when considering a permanent move for Osimhen. With the transfer fee involved being a significant concern, Galatasaray may need to weigh their options carefully before making a decision.
