In a sharp critique of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the United Nations, Mosab Hassan accused these institutions of bias and inefficiency in addressing the Gaza conflict. Hassan labeled the ICC a "corrupt organization" that prioritizes pressuring Israel to surrender while neglecting to hold Hamas accountable for its actions.
He highlighted what he perceived as double standards, noting that while the ICC issued an arrest warrant for the late Hamas military commander Muhammad Al-Dief, it has failed to act against other Hamas leaders who travel freely between countries like Qatar and Turkey. He further accused Hamas of exploiting humanitarian aid deliveries to smuggle weapons, complicating efforts to assist civilians in Gaza.
Hassan also criticized the credibility of casualty statistics provided by Hamas, claiming that these figures are manipulated to shape a narrative against Israel. While Israel faces intense global scrutiny for civilian casualties, Hassan pointed out its claims of taking precautions to minimize harm. In contrast, he accused Hamas of using civilians as human shields to maximize casualties.
He went on to critique the broader international response, asserting that the United Nations is hindered by the influence of China and Russia, which have blocked consensus on condemning Hamas. Calls for a ceasefire, he argued, would only allow Hamas to consolidate power and perpetuate violence, insisting that lasting peace requires dismantling Hamas's control over Gaza.
