Jadon Sancho sent clear Ruben Amorim transfer message but Chelsea transfer conditions clear

Jose Fonte believes that Jadon Sancho could be given a fresh opportunity at Manchester United next summer, particularly with the club set to embark on a new era under Ruben Amorim's management as reported by Football.London.

Following a disappointing start to the 2024/25 season, Erik ten Hag was dismissed from his role as manager of United last month.

Amorim is expected to take over after the ongoing international break, with United's next match against Ipswich Town marking the beginning of his tenure.

Sancho, who moved to Chelsea on loan this summer, is currently enjoying his time at Stamford Bridge.

His loan deal includes an obligation for Chelsea to make the transfer permanent, contingent upon the Blues finishing in the top 14 of the Premier League this season.

If those terms are met, Chelsea will pay Manchester United around £20 million for the winger, with potential add-ons bringing the total to £25 million based on his performances.

However, former Southampton and West Ham defender Jose Fonte suggests that if Chelsea do not secure a top-half finish, Sancho could find himself back at United, where Amorim could offer him a "fresh start."

"Jadon Sancho will get a chance to impress Ruben Amorim in the summer because it's a fresh start and a new opportunity for everyone," Fonte said.

"Something might click between him and Amorim because he knows exactly what he wants from his players in every area of the pitch.

He also likes to give the No.10s freedom to be creative, and that's exactly what Sancho needs. It could be a great opportunity for him."

Sancho has started his loan spell at Chelsea on a positive note. After coming on as a substitute against Bournemouth, he assisted Christopher Nkunku for the match-winning goal.

He followed up with impressive performances against West Ham and Brighton, providing assists in both games.

Despite a few less impactful appearances and a recent injury layoff, Sancho seems to have adapted well to Chelsea's playing style under manager Enzo Maresca.
