According to a report from Reuters, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has successfully neutralized 23 terrorists and captured 46 others during the recent 'Martyrs of Security'.

This operation, carried out in Sistan and Baluchestan province near the Pakistan border, is a key component of Iran's strategy to bolster regional security.

General Ahmad Shafaei, spokesperson for the drills, highlighted the IRGC's achievements in thwarting terrorist plans and intercepting smuggled weapons and drugs. The operation involved collaboration between the provincial office of the Intelligence Ministry and local police forces.

Four terrorist groups were targeted in this crackdown, including members of the infamous Jaish al-Adl organization. Among those apprehended was a prominent figure linked to a deadly attack on police in Taftan, which claimed the lives of 10 officers.

The Jaish al-Adl group, known for its separatist ideology and extremist actions, has been responsible for numerous attacks, frequently targeting civilians and police infrastructure.

By dismantling these threats, the IRGC has conveyed a strong message to terror networks operating in the region: Iran will not tolerate actions that threaten its national security.

This operation underscores the IRGC's dedication to maintaining stability and safeguarding the lives of its citizens amid ongoing regional tensions.
