The next time Manchester United take the field, it will be under the management of Ruben Amorim but that's two almost two weeks away.
That's because the third international break of the season is already underway and it's just November! However, for Ruben Amorim, this represents a chance to get his feet under the table without the immediate pressure of planning for a game.
On the other hand, it's also a tricky situation because he'll miss crucial time with many players away with their countries.
The initial period is the most important for adaptation to a new system and style and players won't even see the manager until after the 20th at the latest.
It's a big miss for those players but one player has just been handed a golden opportunity due to these same circumstances. He desperately needed it.
Of the 13 players called up for international duty, Marcus Rashford is not one and it's the third consecutive international break he has missed out for England.
He has started showing some signs of form for Man United recently but nowhere near enough to warrant selection ahead of his competitors.
In this international break, however, that is a blessing in disguise because he will now have the golden opportunity to work with Amorim on the training pitch.
Amorim is still awaiting his visa before he can start working but in the meantime, just having face time and discussions with the new Man Utd manager will be fruitful.
Rashford has struggled for end product this season and along with Rasmus Hojlund, he's arguably the biggest project Amorim has to undertake.
Just in the second year of his mammoth contract, United need to get performances out of their academy graduate to prevent the deal from aging like an albatross around their neck.
Rashford needs it the most
Just as well Rashford gets this opportunity because as it stands, he's the one who needs it the most too.
His rivals for the forward spots, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad, and Joshua Zirkzee have been called up by their national teams and they all are in a better position than Rashford under Amorim.
That's because, in Amorim's 3-4-2-1, there's no natural position for the player as it was in the 4-2-3-1.
One of the two spots behind the striker will be occupied by Bruno Fernandes and Amad has become an undroppable at United, at least to start with under Amorim.
Garnacho and Amad's work rate means they can believably be fielded as attack-minded wingback too, if Amorim is feeling adventurous.
Zirkzee's situation will remain the same as he fights with Hojlund to be the No 1 striker which leaves Rashford in no-man's land.
His disdain for playing as the sole striker is well-known, his work rate has been questioned too many times to be able to play as the wingback, and his game in small spaces is just not nifty enough to work as the No 10 behind a striker.
These two weeks with Amorim can provide him clarity on his role and situation and since the manager has made a name for himself in reinventing players, Rashford stands as his biggest challenge.
Perhaps in a few months, the pair credits these two weeks working together away from distractions where a rejuvenated Rashford found form again. His rivals for the position in the team don't have that privilege.
