In a candid interview on Arise TV, a head of the Palestine community, Ramzi Abo Ibrahim attributed the Democratic Party's election loss to the Gaza war, along with other factors related to U.S. support for Israel and its military actions.
He suggested that an increase in American taxpayers' awareness of their funds being used to support Israeli actions against Palestinians, which resulted in the death of innocent children and the destruction of homes, played a role in the Democrats' defeat.
Furthermore, Ramzi highlighted the controversial "Hannibal Doctrine" employed by the Israeli army, which sanctions the killing of Palestinians amidst groups of Israeli civilians or soldiers, as a contributing factor in the loss of life among both Palestinians and Israelis during the conflict.
In conclusion, Ramzi emphasized the significance of Israel's military policies and the consequences of U.S. financial support to Israel in influencing the outcome of the U.S. elections.
According to Ramzi Abo Ibrahim, "The Democrats lost the election because of Gaza war, but not just Gaza. After October 7, many Americans realized their taxes were going to Israel, funding the killing of innocent children and destruction of homes. To add, the Israeli army has a rule, the "Hannibal Doctrine." It allows soldiers to kill if they know a Palestinian is within a group of Israeli civilians or soldiers. When Palestinian fighters entered the settlements, Israel ordered helicopters, tanks, everything, to kill everyone. It was this action that caused the deaths of many of those Israelis."
