Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has taken a jab at Mahmood Yakubu, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), following the recent defeat of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.
In his remarks, Adeyanju criticized Yakubu's electoral management strategies, drawing a parallel between Harris's loss and the perceived shortcomings in Nigeria's electoral processes.
Adeyanju provocatively suggested that Yakubu should either turn off the U.S. electoral server or manipulate the election results as allegedly done in Nigeria.
Posting on X, the lawyer wrote:
"INEC can still save Kamala. What INEC cannot do does not exist. They can switch off the server or change results on IREV
"Yakubu will now be screaming on top of his voice, GO TO COURT."
On Wednesday, Trump of the Republican party was declared the winner of the US presidential election.
Trump defeated Kamala Harris of the Democrat in a landslide victory.
This achievement makes him the first president to secure a non-consecutive second term after surviving two assassination attempts and overcoming a criminal conviction.
