A Nigerian lady expresses shock over an awkward situation with a male friend who blocked her after he caught feelings with her and failed to address it.
In her post @theewaoflagos on X revealed that her friend had abruptly blocked her because he was "getting too attached" and was starting to develop romantic feelings.
According to her, the friend confided in another individual instead of addressing his feelings with her directly, fearing rejection.
"My male friend blocking me because he feels he's getting too attached to me and he's starting to have feelings for me will forever be funny to me sha, only a coward would do something like that 🤚.
The funniest part is that He didn't tell me himself ooo. He told his friend, it was that one that was telling me today, that he didn't tell me because he's scared of getting rejected," she wrote.
Her candid take on the situation has sparked conversations online about communication, friendship boundaries, and how people deal with feelings in friendships.
A social media user @japhetho responded, "You cannot dictate how people react to things. He did what he feels is best for him. The fact that u even had to bring it to social media shows he might have made the right decision."
