The little girl, indicating that her sister was injured in an accident, stated, "I am very tired. I have been carrying her in my arms for an hour and I can no longer walk."
The photojournalist Alaa Hamouda, who captured the images, stated, "A displaced girl had walked more than two kilometers carrying her injured sister on her shoulders. I happened to see her walking alone, barefoot under the blazing sun."
He mentioned that he helped the little girl and her sister.
Hamouda explained that he took the little girls to the Bureij Refugee Camp in his car.
