Former Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has told Atiku Abubakar that the former Vice President has been rejected by Nigerians.
Wike said the Adamawa-born politician should pack up and go back to his home town because, according to him, the ex-VP had contested elections and failed several times.
Mocking Atiku, while addressing his followers in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Wike said:
"I heard Atiku say Nigerians have rejected us. Did we pick form [to contest Rivers' LG election]? No.
"I hear Atiku Abubakar said that Nigerians have rejected us in Rivers State. You, who have contested and failed woefully, Nigerians have rejected you; therefore, go back home."
We reported that the All Peoples Party, APP, won 22 of the 23 local government council seats in the state when the election was conducted some weeks back.
