Mother shocked as son insists his first salary goes to his poor absentee father

Germany-based Nigerian mother expresses shock as her son unexpectedly chooses to send his first salary to the father who abandoned him at 3.

The woman, identified as @aladeenitan on TikTok, revealed how her son, despite being left by his father at age three, insisted on sending his entire first paycheck to the man, who is still in Nigeria.

According to the mother, her son's father had reappeared in their lives only when his permission was needed for the boy to travel abroad. Despite years of absence and neglect, her son chose to extend compassion to his father, who, as the boy explained, was struggling financially and didn't have money for food.

The mother raised her son single-handedly and expressed her surprise and mixed emotions at his decision.

In her TikTok post, she shared:

"My son said I should send his first salary to his father in Nigeria who abandoned him as a baby. He said his father doesn't have money to eat. I was surprised and I said after all the suffering I passed through for him."

She described the sacrifices of raising him alone, paying for his education, and ensuring his well-being despite their hardships. The mother admitted she was taken aback that, instead of acknowledging her dedication, her son's first instinct was to support his absent father:

"His father stopped taking care of him when he was three years old. I trained him in primary, secondary school. But his first work, he didn't think of me. He didn't say I should take money and buy even if it's chewing gum," she stated.

The story has garnered numerous reactions, with many commending the boy's ability to forgive and show empathy despite the pain of abandonment. Others sympathized with the mother, understanding her frustration and disappointment.
