Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, recently delivered a sermon on the topic "Provoking the Blessings," where he emphasized the value of honor and its role in achieving greatness.
During the message, Pastor Ibiyeomie highlighted his deep reverence for Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church. He explained that honor is a personal choice to celebrate the unique contributions someone makes to one's life. For him, Bishop Oyedepo holds an unparalleled place of honor.
"The honor I place on Bishop Oyedepo, outside God first, can't be placed on any mortal man on earth. What he has contributed to my life, no man has done that," Ibiyeomie said. "You can give me 25 billion Naira in a day; I won't place honor on you as I place on him. It's not about physical cash, but the value he has added to my life is greater than that of any other human being."
Pastor Ibiyeomie elaborated that the profound impact of Bishop Oyedepo on his spiritual and personal growth exceeds even that of his biological father.
He claimed that having a great father does not automatically guarantee success, citing the biblical example of King David's sons, Absalom and Solomon, to illustrate how two sons from the same father could experience drastically different outcomes in life.
The cleric reinforced the principle that honor is a crucial key to unlocking blessings, and it must be genuinely placed on those who have made a lasting difference in one's life.
