Arsenal handed worrying Bukayo Saka injury scare after England withdrawal against Greece

Arsenal's key player, Bukayo Saka, was forced off during England's UEFA Nations League match against Greece on Thursday night at Wembley Stadium, according to Football.London.

Despite being a regular starter for Arsenal this season, Saka was included in the Three Lions lineup by interim manager Lee Carsley. However, he had to leave the pitch just after halftime, in the 50th minute, due to an apparent injury.

The incident occurred during Greece's opening goal, scored by Vangelis Pavlidis early in the second half. As the Greek players celebrated, Saka was seen down on the field and eventually needed attention from the team physio.

After treatment, he was able to walk off unaided, but the extent of the injury remains unclear.

This injury comes at a critical time for Arsenal, as they are already coping with the absence of their captain, Martin Odegaard, who has been sidelined since the last international break.

Odegaard's last appearance was during the Gunners' 1-1 draw against Brighton on August 31, leaving the team without two of their influential players.

Saka has been a standout performer for Arsenal this season, featuring in 10 matches across all competitions. He has made a significant impact, scoring three goals and providing seven assists.

His absence would undoubtedly be a setback for the team, with fans and the club hoping for a swift recovery.

Interim coach Lee Carsley is expected to give more information about Saka's condition in his post-match interview.
