Hezbollah Attacks Israel with Over 60 Rockets Killing People in the Northern Israel

In a recent development, northern Israel has been attacked by a deadly rocket attack from Lebanon, according to Israeli military report, around 60 rockets were fired into Israel, as two people were killed in the attack, in the town of Kiryat Shmona, as reported by Torizone.

The Magen David Adom, Israel's emergency service, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), as the rescue team also responded to another incident in Haifa.

There, shrapnel from the rockets injured five people, among the injured was a 16-year-old, who had moderate injuries, while the others had minor wounds.

Although the Israeli military did not immediately name the group responsible, Hezbollah, a powerful militia based in Lebanon, has been frequently attacking Israel's northern region.

The group, backed by Iran, has been launching rockets, grenades, and drones at Israel for over a year, claiming that their actions are to support Hamas in Gaza.

The conflict in this region has expanded in recent months, as Israel has been carrying out more military operations against Hezbollah since September, these include airstrikes and a ground offensive aimed at weakening the militia's capabilities.
