Prominent Islamic scholar Muhammad Tawhidi, known as the Imam of Peace, has strongly denounced Hamas, Hezbollah, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Houthis as Islamist terrorist organizations. In a statement on his official X page, Tawhidi emphasized the urgent need for collective action against terrorism.
"We must stand firmly against all forms of terrorism, advocating for peace, justice, and civilian protection," Tawhidi declared. "These groups are equivalent to ISIS and must be addressed accordingly."
Tawhidi's statement coincided with the memorial of the October 7 massacre, in which Hamas launched a devastating attack on Israel, resulting in 1,189 fatalities, according to France 24.
The Imam of Peace's condemnation underscores the importance of unity in combating terrorism. His call to action emphasizes:
- Recognition of Hamas, Hezbollah, IRGC, and Houthis as terrorist organizations
- Equating these groups with ISIS
- Collective action against terrorism
- Protection of civilians and advocacy for peace and justice
Tawhidi's bold stance highlights the need for global cooperation in confronting Islamist extremism and promoting regional stability.
