Chelsea: You didn't want to be on bench - Terry fires back at Ibrahimovic

Chelsea legend, John Terry, has fired back at former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who once reportedly hit out at the Blues regarding their wishes to sign him some years ago.

Ibrahimovic had reportedly mentioned that Chelsea could not sign him as he has won more trophies than the Premier League club.

The 43-year-old Swede added that it should have been him who tried to sign Chelsea club instead

"Chelsea could not sign me. I have more trophies than Chelsea. I should have been the one to sign them," Ibrahimovic had said.

Before Ibrahimovic's move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window of 2017, there were several reports claiming that other clubs top clubs including Chelsea were interested in signing him.

However, in a recent Instagram post by 365Scores that displayed this quote of Ibrahimovic, Terry responded that Ibrahimovic didn't join move to Chelsea because he doesn't want to be on the bench.

"He didn't want to be on the bench," Terry wrote in the comments section of the Instagram post.
