Former Aston Villa goalkeeper, David James believes Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta made a mistake selling Argentina goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez in the past.
James described Martinez as a monster in football, adding that the shot-stopper is a big-game player.
According to him, the 32-year-old would be 'perfect' for the current Arsenal team under Arteta.
Martinez was sold to Aston Villa in 2020 for £17million as Arteta decided Bernd Leno would be his first-choice goalkeeper for that season.
"It's interesting when you look at Premier League goalkeepers over a number of years now, there is not many characters," James told Seaman Says podcast with Betway.
"He [Martinez] has character, everything about him is character, he is a big-game player.
"When you look at the [David] Raya and [Aaron] Ramsdale situation at Arsenal and obviously Martinez was allowed to go because of Bernd Leno, who is a decent goalkeeper.
"But I think Martinez would've been the perfect goalkeeper for Arsenal right now. I think he is a monster."
