Yesterday in the UEFA Conference League, Chelsea welcomed Gent to the Stamford Bridge going into the tournament as one of the favorites to win it. And just as expected, the Blues defeated the Belgian side 4-2 thanks to goals from Viega, Neto, Nkunku and Dewsbury-Hall.
Real Betis on the other hand suffered a disappointing defeat to Polish club, Legia in a game which ended 1-0 in favour of the home side. Copenhagen also faced a major upset as Jagiellonia completed a comeback to win the game 1-2.
Fiorentina, another title favorites, comfortably secured all three points in their meeting with TNS thanks to goals from Adli and Kean. Molde defeated Larne 3-0 to start their run in the tournament on a good note.
Lugano also defeated HJK 3-0 at the Stockhorn Arena. Shamrock Rovers and APOEL had to settle for a point each in a game which ended 1-1.
