Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has revealed the mastermind behind his loan move to Galatasaray.
The summer transfer window of 2024 was dominated by rumours of Osimhen leaving Napoli, but could not reach an agreement with interested teams.
The Nigerian striker eventually secured a loan move to Galatasaray a few days after the transfer window closed.
Since his move, he has been instrumental for the team, scoring two goals and providing three assists in his first four games.
Osimhen hails Buruk
Osimhen revealed that Buruk had a big impact on his choice to play for the Super Liga champions for the remainder of the season.
According to A Spor, Osimhen said, "Okan Buruk is the key to my transfer. I was incredibly impressed when I spoke to him."
The 2023 African Best Player attributed his loan move from Napoli to the Turkish giants Galatasaray to manager Okan Buruk.
Osimhen was linked to a move away from Napoli, including interest from Chelsea, but his planned transfer fell through.
As a result, there were unresolved issues with Napoli, which led to Antonio Conte keeping him out of the first team.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles striker is in contention to start for Galatasaray in the Europa League after scoring two goals and being substituted at halftime against Kasimpasa.
