Italian football legend Gianluigi Buffon has officially tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Ilaria D'Amico, in a stunning ceremony held in Tuscany.
The 49-year-old World Cup winner and the former Sky Sports presenter, 51, have been together for nearly a decade and finally said their vows having been engaged for six years.
According to reports, Buffon, who proposed in 2017, and D'Amico agreed to delay their wedding until after his retirement.
The former Juventus goalkeeper finally hung up his gloves in August 2023, after a career spanning nearly 30 years, opening the door for the couple to begin their next chapter.
The couple's wedding took place in the picturesque setting of Versilia, a sun-drenched region in Tuscany.
Surrounded by 250 guests, including former Italian teammates Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci, and coach Luciano Spalletti, Buffon and D'Amico celebrated their love in grand style.
The outdoor ceremony featured the bride wearing a stunning lace gown designed by Luisa Beccaria, while the couple shared the moment in a joint post on Instagram which they, captioned, "Finalmente, NOI," meaning "Finally, WE."
After the party on Saturday, a more casual seaside party was held at Buffon's beach resort in Massa Carrara on Sunday.

The glamorous ceremony wasn't just attended by football royalty as some notable Hollywood stars also made an appearance.
Acclaimed director Tim Burton attended the event with his partner, Italian actress Monica Bellucci, who served as a witness for the bride.
Burton was the director behind the superhero films Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992); the animated films Corpse Bride (2005) and Frankenweenie (2012); the science fiction films Mars Attacks! (1996) and Planet of the Apes (2001).
The wedding event was the perfect blend of Italian elegance and celebrity flair, marking the beginning of Buffon and D'Amico's life post-football.
D'Amico, a former model, left her role at Sky Sports Italy in 2018 and has been by Buffon's side throughout his career highs and lows.
