₦1 million to watch Super Eagles AFCON 2025 qualifier in Kigali

Fans will have to pay an excess of ₦1 million naira to enjoy the AFCON 2025 qualifier between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Amavubi of Rwanda in Kigali

In their first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, the three-time African champion Nigerian Super Eagles trounced the Benin Republic's Cheetahs 3-0.

The Amavubi of Rwanda were able to get a 1-1 draw away against Libya in Tropoli to start their campaign.

Nigeria intends to continue with a winning approach when they take on Rwanda on Tuesday afternoon at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali.

Just prior to the Eagles' formal practice on Monday at Amahoro Stadium, head coach Austin Eguavoen emphasized the importance of the game during the pre-game news conference.

Table-toppers Nigeria will play the Amavubi (Wasps) on the second matchday of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign at the recently refurbished 45,000-capacity venue in the center of Kigali.

Wealthy and well-known Rwandan celebrities are willing to pay up to one million Rwandan francs for a Sky Box (eight seats) to watch the 2025 AFCON qualification match between the Super Eagles and Amavubi, which features a star-studded lineup.

1 million to watch Rwanda vs Nigeria

The Federation of Rwandan Football is anticipated to earn millions of Rwandan Francs from the game, per information obtained on ticket costs.

The Sky Box, which has eight seats, costs ₦1,235,063, while a Business Suite ticket costs 50,000 RWF (about ₦61,753) per person.

The least expensive tickets for fans will be sold for 3000 RWF (₦3,705) and 2000 RWF (₦ 2,470), respectively, based on the current foreign currency exchange rate found on Google. The price of a VIP ticket is 20,000 RWF (about ₦24,701).

To prepare for the Super Eagles, the Amavubi recorded a 1-0 win against Police FC in a friendly fixture.

Starting on Tuesday, the Eagles and Amavubi will play four games together in the forthcoming season.

In November, the two teams will square off in Nigeria during the qualification tournament's final round.

In March 2025, the Wasps will host Nigeria in a home-and-away game as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Group D match is scheduled to take place at Kigali's 45,000-seat Amahoro Stadium at 2:00 pm Nigerian time.
