The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has hailed Ademola Lookman after the Super Eagles player led Nigeria to beat Benin Republic 3-0 in Saturday's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match.
Lookman was impressive as he scored a brace to ensure Augustine Eguavoen's side defeated Benin at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
His team-mate Victor Osimhen also scored a goal during the encounter.
The Atalanta forward was named Man of the Match as Nigeria claimed all three points against Gernot Rohr's side.
In a tweet via its X account after the game, CAF posted a photo of Lookman with a tweet:
"What a week Ademola Lookman is having."
Before Nigeria's clash with Benin Republic, Lookman was shortlisted in the Ballon d'Or list for the best 30 players in the world.
