GOAT: He's still best in the world - Man United legend hails Ronaldo

Ex-Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has hailed Portuguese veteran forward, Cristiano Ronaldo as the deadliest goalpoacher in the world.

This came after Ronaldo, who is still the captain of Portugal national team, bagged a landmark 900th career goal for club and country earlier this week.

Portugal defeated Croatia 2-1 in the Uefa Nations League opener in Lisbon on Thursday, with the 39-year-old ending a five-game scoring drought with his national team.

Ronaldo created history, becoming the first football player to score 900 times.

Keane acknowledged the 39-year-old's metronomic scoring ability, telling ITV Sport (via MEN),

"That was a bit of an issue (not scoring at the Euros), but 900 goals.

"If you put the ball in those areas, he's still the best in the world."

Ronaldo has a record 14 goals in the Euros and eight at World Cups.
