AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Lookman bags brace as Osimhen marks return in style

Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen ensured that Nigeria began their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Benin Republic.

Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, was set roaring with Africa's best player and Ballon d'Or nominee putting up stellar performances to put smiles on the face of interim boss, Augustine Eguavoen.

Lookman, who recently got nominated for the 2024 Ballon d'Or awards opened scoring for the Super Eagles in the dying moment of the first half.

Entering the second 45 minutes, substitute Osimhen flashed in the second goal.
