Transfer: I'm not happy to lose him - Ten Hag confirms midfielder's exit

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, has confirmed that Scott McTominay has left the club.

McTominay is on the verge of joining Napoli in Italy.

Both clubs have agreed a fee of around €30 million for the midfielder who came through the ranks at United.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's clash with Liverpool, Ten Hag admitted he would have preferred to keep McTominay.

He said: "I've mixed feelings because I would have preferred not to lose him.

"He has Manchester United in his veins, so I'm happy for him but I wanted him here."

The Red Devils have already agreed a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG to replace McTominay.
