Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has given his opinion on the rumored swap deal between Chelsea and Manchester United involving Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho.
Both Sancho and Sterling are deemed surplus to requirement this season at their respective clubs and are expected to find another club.
Reports had emerged that Chelsea are looking to conclude a deal to sign Sancho from Manchester United.
Sterling, meanwhile, could move the other way as part of a possible swap deal.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, Ferdinand said (via The Chelsea Chronicle):
"Things have not worked out for Raheem Sterling at Chelsea. If Sancho goes the other way, I think it works for both.
"I think they need a new chapter written in their careers, and I think it would work for both players."
