Liverpool could make a signing this transfer window after getting a heads-up from the player's camp.
Juventus star Federico Chiesa has reportedly informed Liverpool he is amenable to an offer from them, with Barcelona stalling due to their financial struggles.
Pulse Sports reported that Chiesa has been transfer-listed by Juventus after his falling out with erstwhile manager Maximiliano Allegri and consequently the club. He is also keen on leaving and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.
Barcelona stall on Chiesa
After it became evident they could no longer sign Nico Williams, given their financial situation, the five-time Champions League winners entered the market in search of low-cost wingers. Chiesa was offered to them by his representatives, and they have been evaluating a possible move for him.
While they mull over the deal, Liverpool, who have been nigh-inactive in the transfer window, have entered the race, and the player is reportedly open to the move despite being keen on joining Barcelona.
Chiesa gives Liverpool greenlight
While Chiesa and his agents wait for Barcelona's offer, the player has now been approached by Liverpool, who are also looking for a low-cost forward. With the Blaugrana only recently sorting out Dani Olmo's registration, they have been unable to assure the Italian of their ability to inscribe him.
While they stalled, Liverpool have approached the forward, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the player gave them the nod, as he is open to their approach. Juventus reportedly demand a €15 million fee, and the Reds, unlike Barcelona, will be able to make the financial commitment.
