Excitement and curiosity are building as Afrobeat singer Davido announces the release date for his highly anticipated collaboration with Grammy-winning artist Angelique Kidjo.
On his social media pages, the singer penned his excitement about working with the legendary Beninese-French singer-songwriter on their new song, "JOY" dropping on Friday, August 30th.
His words: "It was an honor working with the legend @angeliquekidjo on JOY. Dropping Friday ☀️❤️"
Angelique Kidjo emphasized that the song represents everything about her and expressed gratitude to Davido for his contribution to their successful collaboration.
She wrote: "🌞This song JOY is who I am!🌞Coming out this Friday, thank you @davido for bringing your LIGHT! 🙏🏿 No one could have done it better ❤️ We hope this song can bring the world together for a moment of JOY!"
This isn't the first time Davido has collaborated with the 64-year-old singer. They previously worked together on his hit song, "Na Money," alongside The Cavemen.
