In a recent video shared by TVC, former Governor Adams Oshiomhole spoke about his conflict with Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
Oshiomhole said that after four years of Obaseki's term as governor, he realized that Obaseki was not the leader he had hoped for. He said he acknowledged that he made a mistake in supporting Obaseki and publicly apologized to Edo people for the error in judgment. He also said as the then-National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he led the decision to deny Obaseki a ticket to run for governor again, which was a major move to remove him from the party.
In Oshiomhole's words: "After 4 years, I saw Obaseki's true color and I apologized to Edo people. I knelt down and I said I am not ashamed to apologize when I make error of judgment. I said Obaseki was a mistake and so we removed him, we denied him ticket in APC when I was National Chairman"
