Manchester City are planning to offer £70m to Real Madrid for Rodrygo Goes.
Football Insider reports that the Brazilian forward has been on the radar of Manchester City all summer.
The attacker's future at the Spanish capital city club has come under scrutiny following the arrival Kylian Mbappe this summer.
Real Madrid are however, insisting that the Brazil international is an integral part of their plans.
But for obvious reasons the player could struggle for game time as the season progresses.
City, as well as Liverpool, have been monitoring the 23-year-old with interest for a while.
The player himself has publicly said he remains committed to the club but could have internal concerns about his place in the team.
And Manchester City are ready to take advantage of the situation.
City boss, Pep Guardiola's attack has already been weakened by Julian Alvarez's departure to Atletico Madrid this summer.
City have suffered further setbacks recently, with Oscar Bobb breaking his leg and Savinho picking up a knock against Chelsea.
The Premier League champions have now turned to Rodrygo, who is greatly admired by Guardiola.
Real Madrid maintain that the player is not for sale but could be tempted to let him go for £70-80m this summer.
However, a deal looks highly unlikely at this stage of the window.
