Chelsea star joins as Sancho sold - eight transfers Man Utd can complete this week

Manchester United are expected to bolster their ranks this week, with several signings being eyed.

Jadon Sancho

Manchester United kickstarted their 2024/25 season with a victory over Fulham last week, but there is still work for Erik ten Hag's side to do in the transfer window.

The Red Devils have shaken up their ranks markedly in recent weeks with four marquee arrivals, and the Old Trafford outfit could be set for a busy week of business ahead of their clash with Brighton.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to prioritise both incomings and outgoings, with several stars firmly in the shop window in the hope of stirring up interest. Express Sport takes a look at eight deals that could be completed by United this week...

Incomings

Manuel Ugarte joins

United are desperate to bolster their midfield before the transfer window closes and PSG star Ugarte has been identified as their top target. The Uruguay international is valued at £51million by the Ligue 1 outfit, which is an asking price that could be matched by the Red Devils once sales are completed.

Chido Obi-Martin joins

The finishing touches on the deal to sign Obi-Martin are being completed. The teenager opted to leave Arsenal this summer in favour of joining the Red Devils, with a compensation package being discussed. The forward has reportedly already completed his medical at Carrington.

Ben Chilwell joins

Signing a new left-back is a priority at the Theatre of Dreams, and United may now have the opportunity to sign long-standing target Chilwell. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca publicly told the England international to find a new club last week, and the defender could be welcomed to Ten Hag's squad with open arms.

Outgoings

Scott McTominay to Fulham

Fulham have already seen two bids rejected for McTominay this summer, but Marco Silva's side have now reopened talks with the Red Devils. There is confidence that an agreement can be reached for a fee in the region of £25m, with the Scotland international viewed as the ideal Joao Palhinha replacement.

Facundo Pellistri to Panathinaikos

According to Fabrizio Romano, Panathinaikos are 'closing in' on a permanent deal for Pellistri. The Greek side arehopeful of concluding negotiations soon, with manager Diego Alonso pushing to get a deal over the line.

Scott McTominay

Despite cooling his tensions with Ten Hag, there is still every chance that Sancho will leave United this summer. PSG are keen to sign a versatile forward and have reportedly made contact with the England international to register an interest. A swap deal involving Ugarte and Sancho has been speculated previously.

Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri leave

United are keen to cut the size of their squad, and they will need to stir up interest in Lindelof and Mejbri to do so. Both players are in the final 12 months of their respective contracts at the club and Ratcliffe will want to find buyers to avoid losing them for nothing.
